baby hamster photos!

Here I am in my office doing non-work at long last... and I come bearing photos of my new baby hamster. Enjoy!

Yay hamsters!

See? How could I help but take her home with me. Sigh.

Lest I devolve completely into deranged baby-talk, let me just say: congratulations on your tiny tribble! She is redonkulously kyoot!

What are you going to name her eventually? (I have faith she will live long enough to need a name, and I'm sure she will love her daddy to bits all her long and happy life.) Well, actually, you can call her anything you want, but *I* am going to call her Chloe.

Chloe is a lovely name! At the moment, I'm leaning toward "Hampster with a P."

You know I just cannot get on board with the misspelling, right? There will be no Hampster Danse on my watch.

If she gets a little friend, that one will be Daphne. Alonzo if it's a boy. I don't know anything about how hamsters get along in groups. Does she have to live alone?

Heh heh. Yeah, that's exactly where it comes from: Almost everyone calls it "Hampsterdance."

Hamsters apparently don't get along, so she'll (or he'll, as the case may turn out to be...) live alone.

However, cute notice: She does climb onto the side of her cage and chew the bars when she wants me to pick her up. So hamsters are cuddly but not with each other.

Cute!

(I do hope the sleeping is just a symptom of being a baby and not a problem.)

Oh, I'm sure she's okay. She pretty much runs all night long, but when she's moving, a photo is pretty much out of the question *BLUR*

Never pick up a baby hamster unless you intend to bring her home with you. When she fell asleep in my palm, well, that was it. Next thing I knew, I was walking out of the store with a new cage and other toys. Sigh. It could not be helped.

Thank you! She is tossing around her bedding as I type, and it makes me smile.

I had no idea that Ewoks were available for adoption from the local pet shops.
