HOT outside

Whew, so it's in the 90s outside, and I just spent the last couple of hours cutting branches from the big tree over the driveway. The tree leans a bit, and the foliage on the branches had been pulling the tree even more at an angle... made me paranoid, plus the ends of the branches were touching the garage roof. So they had to go (bonus: won't need to rake so many leaves over the next months).

Turns out that cutting through a thick branch isn't as much work as cutting it apart for the city to pick up. So hours of work. Hot and humid. Feel like I'm going to die. Drinking lots of water and sitting around in my underpants (I put up window-covers so the neighbors don't have to see me thus *g*).

Oh, and I also hung a few more pieces of art around the place - including, finally, the David Archer piece that I have up for sale. So, dammit, I'm going to enjoy it! (radcliffe and kijjohnson: I put up a second hanger near the one you put up beside the CDs, so it's right beside the TV in place of the watercolor that you put up). Looks beautiful!

G'day to y'all,
Chris

There is that, but I didn't want to kill my homies!

Oh, and it's actually 94. So, um, there.

The day you pass out on the street and cars have to avoid running over your head, well, I won't laugh but I'll think about it.

I hear you loud and clear. I was worried about D taking out the pine tree last Wednesday on one of the 100+ days. Of course, there was no doing it in the morning; it had to be done in the afternoon at the height of the heat. It's done now, and he escaped dehydration. Double bonus.

Wow, I remember those days: It was dangerous just standing around in the shade. I hope his brothers helped! Glad to hear he survived.

It's amazing how scarce they can become when work's to be done. :) Actually the youngest did help with the initial taking down, trading favours for the lathe.
