NASA goes deep

This is a great article. Yes, it begins tragically with the idiotic death of the Saturn V program, but it ends hopefully with the rise of the new Ares program.

Hope! Alas, hope for the future of deep-space exploration.

Ares a good name. A good sign.

Myself, I'm not too sure about naming a space program after the god of war. Although this sounds promising: "This won’t be a space race so much as a global exodus undertaken by an international community. And peaceful cooperation among nations, as a tangible means to build strong lasting international partnerships and defuse tensions and conflicts in the future, will be a welcome result."

Also, I wanna put that NYT graphic on a tee shirt.
