"The Best of James Gunn" reading today!

Hi folks -

Thought it was time for a reminder that Jim is doing a reading today, Friday the 11th.

Who: Science Fiction Grand Master James Gunn
When: 4:00pm - 5:00pm today
Where: Spencer Museum of Art auditorium at the University of Kansas
What: James Gunn reading excerpts from his work
Why: in honor of Jim winning the 2008 KU Alumni Distinguished Achievement Award
How much: Free!

Afterward, come enjoy a reception in the Spencer Center Court.

Yup! Right across the street. Parking is available on the hill (free on most of the downhill side) or in the Union Parking lot (for a fee).

It was great! Jim did an 80-minute variety reading from his earliest to some of his most-recent work, ending with the last scene of Kampus - which kinda blew me away, what with the, um, very formal and academic setting of the evening. Hooray, Jim's my hero!

Dang, wish I would have read this a few days ago, I would have gone. Just finished reading a collection of shorts "The End of the Dreams" by him.
