it's SO HOT

Just measured the temp in my back yard: 106°F in the shade (Lawrence, Kansas). Heat index? Add 10°F. Hello, summer. Thankfully, Friday evening will be a few degrees cooler and shady for the Douglas County Fair's demolition derby.

It's so hot that breathing feels like inhaling jet exhaust. It's so hot... (your turn)...

Wow, that's nasty. It's only 105 here in PHX today.

Riding a motorcycle in this weather, however, is kind of like riding through a hair dryer.

Around here, that'd be a hair dryer blasting across a boiling cauldron for proper humidity level.

It's so hot...

The flames from starting up my grill provided a brief refreshing breeze.

WINNER! Yours still beats mine...

It was so hot, I went to Stull and looked for the Gate to Hell so I could put a chill on my beer.

It's so hot there you can do "hot yoga" outside. (It's so hot here my tomatoes have asked to be adopted out somewhere north of Yellowknife.)

A mere 106? It was hotter than that here both yesterday AND the day before.

Is your house surrounded by a parking lot? I bet buildings thus moated reach much higher temps....

I end up soaked in my own sweat after changing the oil, even when I'm in the garage! Not cool.

Ugh. I try not to go broke from A/C costs, so I keep the house temp at 76°F during the day... which translates into 82°F upstairs where I keep my office. Not cool.
