Snow Miser!

The University of Kansas is closed tomorrow. I'm caught up with grading. Snow is drifting up around the house. And I'm fully stocked with movies, music, games, and booze. This is the PERFECT time for a party, but no one could make it over here safely.

DAMN YOU MR. SNOW MISER!

This was brought to you by Trips to GenX Childhoods™. To see more memories from my youth, please visit YouTube.

Thank you, and enjoy.

Trivia: those characters were designed by Paul Coker Jr, a Lawrence native - he also created the Chesty Lion mascot for that big school at the end of your street. :-)

His parents lived on our street - it was a tradition for us neighborhood kids to get together and watch the Christmas specials he'd done.

This was my favorite one:

I liked the snowman monster, but I probably identified better with the misfit toys than I cared to admit at the time. Also, there was a gay elf--something my child brain didn't consciously recognize for what it was. I'm betting my fag hag tendencies were present, even subconsciously and at that early age.
