wearing two shoes

As of yesterday, I've started wearing two shoes again. Not my boots, mind you; these are my old dress shoes that have gotten perhaps 10 hours of wear, ever. Boots still too uncomfortable to wear. Got the idea from a colleague who found some shoes were better than others. So, progress.

EDIT: Ow. That is all, just ow. But worth it, and the post-op shoe was starting to come apart. What you don't get for your $50 medical equipment these days.

Yeah, and the stoopid platform-shoe-thingy finally split from its aluminum sole, so it was done for. It was time.

I'm excited to be able to wear my shoes again too. At least my monkey slippers that I have been wearing are super comfy!

Yeah, ever since the broken-foot incident, I've been wearing a medical sandal with a supportive sole (to prevent flexing into my broken toe). I'm back to it today, but soon I'll try to consistently use two shoes!

Yeah, I'm sure the bone is healed up; it's the tendon damage that's the big pain. Plus a bunch of other bones in the ball of my foot were damaged (bruised? dr. didn't give details), and you can't help but walk on those bones!
