You are hilarious. If you need or want a grading buddy, let me know.

That sounds like a great idea: Next week I shall be buried in papers starting on Monday or Tuesday.
Do you hand-grade stuff? If so, you may use my spare desk and we can guffaw together at poor grammatical constructions!

Oh, you brat. Calling me out on the "making fun of papers" thing. As if I do this!

[Uncomfortable silence.]

At present, I am working to grade 25 papers or so before tomorrow and four group projects/responses.

I am just not in the mood for that right now. I feel like cleaning my house and then climbing back in bed, book in hand.

Too much to ask, World, God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Whatever "god" you get when crossing Tom Cruise with Mel Gibson? Yes, the resounding answer from all!

Re: Edit!
I hear you (also I hear squirrels in the ceiling tiles).

If'n you want company until 5:10 today, come on over! I teach tonight at 5:20 upstairs. The spare desk might need some, um, tidying, though.

Up in a moment?

Re: Edit!
Sure, but give me a minute to fetch some sody-pop downstairs!

WAY cool!

I know! Next, we'll have to start thinking of them as real people. Oh, wait; I'm talking about humans here, so not damned likely *g*

The study also reported that two dolphins can refer to a third by the third animal's name
Does this mean they talk about each other behind their backs....er dorsal fins?

And really, I'm not that surprised by this. Dolphins are obviously very intelligent creatures if they're the only other animals (oh, I and I guess Bonobos too) to have sex for the fun of it!

I like that as a measure of intelligence.

Good question! I hope sooner rather than later. Some researchers already claim they can "talk" with dolphins, but those outside their field of research can't duplicate their efforts, so it must be more art than science right now.
