Departmental Holiday Party comin' right up

So I'm about to hop in the shower and get all dressed up for the English Department's Annual Holiday Party™! I'm gonna shave and everything *g* - and put on a suit with a tie and the whole nine yards. They serve excellent food, some wine, and have a band... this year it's the Mid-Day Ramblers, the band of a husband of one of the people in the Department (and them's a lotta prepositions). Always nice to connect with other teachers and grad students.

Buncha local friends were up for a dress-up party this evening but mostly backed out due to the approach of giving and grading finals, so it'll be a two-hour affair and then, dunno, possibly back to grading.
