AboutSF Program Coordinator Position

Nathaniel Williams is moving on from his current position as Program Coordinator of AboutSF, so the Center for the Study of Science Fiction is now looking for a new AboutSF Program Coordinator: Could that be you?

This is a part-time, student-hourly position at the University of Kansas, funded by donations from the science-fiction community (fully funded for 2010).

... Before I write you a cover letter, I feel I should ask: Am I even eligible? As a GTA, I can only work 10 hrs/week at an outside job. Is that too little availability to be considered?

Well, Nate managed to kick ass at 10 hours/week - keep in mind that GTAs are only allowed to get paid for 10 hours/week; you can volunteer as much more than that as you wish!

I know! I would have loved it, and having this available is part of what attracts good SFnal types to KU....

Somehow I misread "student-hourly position" as "lowly student position"...

Well, that's how the University sees it, alas, but the rest of us know that this position is vital for the future of all humankind! :-D
